We request permission to link with Apple Health to retrieve your step data and establish your calorie consumption goals. Health data (such as step count) will not be uploaded to our server; it will only be stored and utilized locally on your device. You retain the right to revoke this permission at any time. - Location Information
To support the “Xiaomi Band and Watch Connection” feature, OtterLife will use location information data to search for and pair with health wearable devices. This permission is only used during device pairing and is only active when the app is running in the foreground. We do not use location information data in the background, when the app is closed, or when the app is not in use.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Improve, Personalize, and Develop the Services
We utilize collected information to enhance, personalize, and develop OtterLife services. This includes understanding user interactions, ensuring service stability and performance, and developing new features. Processing health data is based on your consent (GDPR, Art 6.1(a) and Art 9.2(a)). - Communicate With You
We use your information to send you service notifications and respond to your inquiries. We assure you that the information we collect will never be sold.
Sharing of Information
We may share non-personal information that is aggregated or de-identified to prevent identification of individuals. Additionally, we may disclose information about you to comply with legal obligations, protect our rights, or prevent illegal activity.
Your Rights

Our Policies for Children
We recognize the importance of protecting children’s privacy and do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13.
