OtterLife FAQ

  • Can my phone/watch work?
  • Can my iPhone/Apple Watch be used?
  • The watch app supports models after Apple Watch Series 4 (i.e., those supporting WatchOS 9), but some features (such as customizing the HRV component) require models supporting watchOS 10 and later to be used.
  • The mobile app supports models after iPhone 8 (i.e., supports iOS 16)
  • Does the app support Huawei’s smartwatches and smartbands?
  • If you have an iPhone, as long as your smartwatch supports writing data to Apple Health, OtterLife can read it without the need for additional operations to select the data source. Additionally, most functions of the app can be used without a smart device, such as functions related to drinking water, weight, habit formation, etc., but it cannot connect to the app of Huawei watches/bracelets.
  • If you have an Android phone, we will synchronize data through Huawei Health, so currently we support almost all models of Huawei smart devices.
  • Currently, the watch app only supports use with Fit3, Fit4, and Watch5, and only supports connecting to Android devices, not iPhones. The GT series is currently under development.
  • Does the app support smart watches and smart bracelets from brands such as Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Redmi, and Honor? Does the app support data synchronization with Xiaomi Sports Health, Oppo Sports Health, Vivo Sports Health, and Honor Sports Health? When will the software be available on Android watches?
  • If you have an iPhone, as long as your smartwatch supports writing data to Apple Health, OtterLife can read it without the need for additional operations to select the data source. Additionally, most functions of the app can be used without a smart device, such as water intake, weight tracking, habit formation, etc.
  • If you are using an Android phone, currently it does not support directly using data from smart devices of brands such as Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Redmi, etc., but health data can be read through the phone’s sensors. The reason for the lack of support is that these brands currently do not support exporting health data, so we are unable to develop a reading function. The direct connection for Xiaomi 4th – 7th generations is still in the internal testing phase, and there may be many issues, so please use it with caution.
  • If your data source is Google Play, OtterLife only supports syncing data from Google Health. Therefore, please go to Settings – Data Source to see how to sync the data from your wearable device to Google Health, and then OtterLife will be able to read data from Google Health. The specific process is:
  • 1. Go to 「Google Health Connect」 → 「Health Data Sharing」
  • 2. Click on “App Permissions” → Select your data source (e.g., Samsung Health) → App access permissions
  • 3. Select “Allow All” (you may also only grant write permissions for the required health data).
  • Does the app support Samsung watches, Garmin, or Fitbit watches?
  • If you have an iPhone, as long as your smartwatch supports writing data to Apple Health, OtterLife can read it without the need for additional operations to select the data source. Additionally, most functions of the app can be used without a smart device, such as water intake, weight tracking, habit formation, etc.
  • If you are using an Android phone, please go to Google Play to download Otterlife. Then, please go to Settings – Data Source to see how to sync the data from your wearable device to Google Health, and then Otterlife will be able to read data from Google Health.
  • Does this app have to be used in conjunction with a watch? Can it be used without a watch/bracelet? What does it mean that the data source is the phone sensor? The app data is inconsistent with the data from my Xiaomi/Oppo/Vivo sports health app
  • Answer: It is not necessary. You can still use functions such as water intake tracking and calorie management on the tab2 Action page without a watch. After selecting the phone as the data source, we will calculate your health data such as sleep and activity based on data collected by the phone’s sensors, such as steps and screen usage time. Therefore, it will inevitably be inconsistent with the data from the smart bracelet/watch in your Xiaomi/OPPO/VIVO Sports Health app.
  • Can iOS systems import data from sources other than Apple Health?
  • Answer: No, data import can only be done through Apple Health. However, sleep data supports selecting different data sources.
  • Why does it prompt “Apple Watch not paired yet” when adding a watch face?
  • Answer: Please check if the watch is in a normal paired and connected state in the “Watch” app on your iPhone.
  • How do I change the bound Huawei Health account? Reauthorize or default to the old account.
  • Answer: Please first ensure that the account logged in within the App is consistent with the account in the Huawei Health App. Then try to revoke the authorization within the App and then reauthorize. Note: iOS system does not support this operation. If the issue persists, please reinstall the app and reauthorize.
  • Does it support HarmonyOS Next devices? / Unable to log in to Zhuoyitong
  • There are no development plans in the short term. Since Zhuoyitong cannot log in via WeChat, we are developing a new login method to enable Zhuoyitong users to use it normally.
  • How to download the Huawei Watch app?
  • Search for otterlife in the watch app market and download it. Currently, the watch version only supports use with fit3, fit4, and watch5. The gt series is under development.
  • Does the app support downloading and using on Apple Watch SE?
  • Answer: Support.
  • What should I do if Apple Watch data is not synchronized with the phone? What should I do if the data in the watch face widgets does not refresh?
  • Apple Watch data synchronization is mainly carried out via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, so there is a certain delay (approximately 1-3 minutes) in data transmission. Please check that both the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on the watch and phone are turned on, and that power-saving mode or other modes that affect Wi-Fi functionality are not enabled.
  • Due to Apple’s restrictions, Apple Watch widgets automatically refresh at the earliest once every 15 minutes, but 100% success cannot be guaranteed. After manually clicking on the widget to enter the OtterLife App, you can manually refresh the data.
  • What should I do if the data between the Android app and the Huawei Watch is not synchronized? Why is the data synchronization of the Huawei Watch slow or fails?
  • 1. Due to system reasons, Huawei watches do not support independent networking. You need to open the otterlife app on your mobile phone and synchronize data via Bluetooth, so there is a certain delay (approximately 3-5 minutes) in data transmission. Please check that both the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on your watch and phone are turned on.
  • 2. If data is not updated for a long time, please restart the mobile app and the watch app.
  • 3. OtterLife pulls data from Huawei Cloud, which may be due to your Huawei device not having completed cloud synchronization yet, different from the data acquisition method of Huawei Health. You can open the Huawei Health app, click Settings – Manual Sync to complete data upload.
  • 4. Confirm whether the Huawei Health account logged in to Huawei Health and OtterLife is the same
  • I only want the watch to remind me to drink water, not the phone. When the notifications on the phone are turned off, the watch will stop reminding me.
  • This reminder mode is not currently supported. The watch can only mirror notifications from the phone and cannot provide separate notifications.
  • Are the data between Android and iOS interoperable? Can memberships be migrated?
  • is currently not interoperable because
  • The data acquisition methods and available functions of Android and iOS are different
  • We do not store iOS users’ health data in the cloud. The current data is directly read from each sports and health app, so we do not support health data migration either.
  • If you need to migrate iOS members to Android or Android members to iOS, you can contact the customer service staff at the email address otterlife@iftech.io
  • After purchasing a lifetime membership on an iPhone, will the membership still be available if I change my phone?
  • Answer: If you switch between Apple devices, after signing in with the same Apple ID, you can restore your membership by restoring purchases within the app.
  • Does it support other login methods?
  • Answer: The Android domestic version currently only supports WeChat login, the iOS version currently only supports Apple ID login, and the Google Play version only supports Google login.
  • Some health data on the phone is no longer displayed, such as data on water intake, calories, steps, exercise, HRV, stress, workouts, sleep, weight, menstrual cycle, etc.
  • Answer: If you are an iOS user:
  • Reason 1: The wearable device may not support this data
  • If you are a user of Apple Watch: Different models of Apple Watch can collect different data. For example, Apple Watch SE cannot record blood oxygen and wrist temperature, which may result in some data within the app being empty.
  • If you are a user of other wearable devices: OtterLife can only read data stored in Apple Health. If the fitness and health app associated with your device does not support measuring or writing certain data, it may result in some data within the app (such as HRV) being empty.
  • Reason 2: Wearable device data has not been updated
  • OtterLife relies on health data uploaded by sports wearable devices such as Apple Watch. If you do not wear your watch or fitness tracker during activities such as exercise or sleep, we will not be able to obtain your health data.
  • If the HRV data is empty: When you wear your Apple Watch normally, the HRV data will be automatically updated every 2-5 hours. Data updates and push notifications may be delayed due to Apple’s system issues. You can also open the “Mindfulness” app on your watch, select the “Breathing” function, and complete one session to update the latest data.
  • If other data is empty: Due to the limitations of Apple Watch itself, there will be a certain interval for each data synchronization. If the data is not updated immediately, you can try again later.
  • If you are using other wearable devices, it may be because the data has not been synchronized in a timely manner. You can open the corresponding sports and health app to perform synchronization.
  • Reason 3: Apple Health data permissions not authorized
  • If you are using other health apps to track your body data, but OtterLife has no data, it is most likely that you have not shared data with Apple Health.
  • OtterLife relies on Apple Health’s authorization to ensure the accuracy and timely update of data, and to provide you with services such as statistics and reminders. Failure to enable all authorizations will affect your experience of the product’s full functionality.
  • Refer to the tutorial below, click “Turn All On” in iOS Settings – Privacy & Security – Health – OtterLife, authorize the relevant permissions, and ensure that OtterLife can be used normally.
  • Reason 4: Incorrect sleep settings were modified
  • Selecting the wrong data source and sleep statistics demarcation point will cause your sleep data to fail to display correctly
  • Data Source:
  • Smart Mode: It will prioritize displaying data generated by the first data source with data, following the order of the following data sources
  • Your Apple Watch: Displays data recorded by the Apple Watch. In most cases, wearing the watch while sleeping will result in data being recorded.
  • Your iPhone: Starting from iOS 18 and later, it will no longer be able to record sleep via the phone, so selecting this data source does not necessarily guarantee the availability of data
  • OtterLife: You need to enable the phone’s sleep recording function, which calculates the time in bed by detecting the “screen usage time” and will record data in most cases.
  • Other data sources: They can only be displayed when the corresponding data source has data. You can go to Apple Health – Sleep – View All Data to view the details.
  • Sleep Statistics Cutoff Point:
  • It is mainly used to separate the attribution of “sporadic naps” and “main sleep”. Under normal circumstances, it is recommended to adjust it to the period from the latest usual wake-up time to the earliest usual bedtime
  • For example, there is a period of sleep from 12:00 to 14:00 today:
  • If the sleep statistics breakpoint is set at 12:00, the sleep period from 12:00 to 14:00 will be classified as tomorrow’s sleep;
  • If the sleep statistics cutoff point is set at 13:00, then the sleep period from 12:00 to 13:00 will be classified as today, and the sleep period from 13:01 to 14:00 will be classified as tomorrow;
  • If the sleep statistics cut-off point is set at 14:00, then the sleep period from 12:00 to 14:00 will be classified as today’s sleep
  • If you are a Huawei user:
  • 4. Confirm whether the Huawei Health account logged in to Huawei Health and OtterLife is the same
  • ——AppleWatch——
  • What should I do if I can’t find “OtterLife” in the “Complex Features” when adding a watch face component, or if the widgets on the watch suddenly turn black? What should I do if the heat deficit, HRV, and body energy consumption widgets on the watch disappear?
  • The “Watch” app on the phone showing as empty may be an Apple bug, and it doesn’t necessarily mean that the watch is actually empty
  • Please check the app list on your watch to see if 「OtterLife」 has been installed. You can go to 「Watch」 – 「My Watch」 and scroll to the bottom to check the installation status.
  • If you have successfully installed it on your watch, you can long press the watch face – “Edit” – swipe left to switch to “Complications”, find “OtterLife” and add it
  • If you cannot find OtterLife in the “Complications” on your watch, open the “Watch” app on your phone, find OtterLife – “Don’t Show” – scroll to the bottom of the “Watch” app, find OtterLife, and reinstall it.
  • When adding a watch face component on the phone, it prompts “Complex functions are unavailable”?
  • This issue is mainly a bug in Apple Watch, which mainly occurs during app updates
  • Check if OtterLife has been successfully installed on your Apple Watch. If you have successfully installed it on the watch, you can long press the watch face – “Edit” – swipe left to switch to “Complications”, find “OtterLife” and add it.
  • If you cannot find OtterLife in the “Complications” on your watch, open the “Watch” app on your phone, find OtterLife – “Don’t Show” – scroll to the bottom of the “Watch” app, find OtterLife, and reinstall it.
  • What should I do if the app fails to install on the watch or keeps installing?
  • First, enter “Watch” – “My Watch”, scroll to the bottom, and check the installation status of “OtterLife”
  • On the watch, enter the App Store, scroll to the bottom to find Account – Purchased Items, locate 「OtterLife」 and click Download
  • Please check if the phone and watch are connected to the same Wi-Fi? —→ Disconnect and reconnect the watch’s Wi-Fi, turn on and off Airplane Mode
  • Is the Bluetooth connection normal? —→ Disconnect and reconnect the watch’s Bluetooth
  • If the phone is using mobile data → Check if there is a pop-up on the watch to confirm the download
  • Are you downloading multiple apps simultaneously? —→ Terminate all, then download one by one
  • If there are no issues with the above, you can try long-pressing the crown to restart the watch. If the problem still cannot be resolved, please contact customer service to provide feedback.
  • What should I do if the watch widget displays “No data available” or fails to update properly?
  • Please check if the watch has just been unlocked, as data cannot be updated when the watch is locked
  • If there is no data after just downloading the app: Check if the corresponding permissions have been granted? Please go to “Settings” – “Health” – “Apps and Services” – “otterlife” on the watch and select “Turn All On”.
  • If there was data previously: 1. Check if the current app version is the latest, as it’s possible that issues with the old version have already been fixed. 2. When you wear your Apple Watch normally, your HRV data will be automatically updated every 2 – 5 hours. Data updates and pushes may be delayed due to Apple’s system issues, so please understand. You can also open the “Mindfulness” app on your watch, select the “Breathing” function, and complete one session to update the latest data.
  • If none of the above solutions work, please contact the customer service staff at otterlife@iftech.io to provide feedback
  • Why can’t I change the custom watch face? Why doesn’t the watch show any changes after changing the watch face theme?
  • Currently, only Apple Watch is supported for theme replacement, and other series of watches such as Huawei are not supported
  • Currently, only customizing the “HRV” widget is supported, while customizing the “Calorie Deficit” and “Body Energy Expenditure” widgets is not supported
  • Currently, there are 2 HRV widgets. Please select the “Custom HRV” widget instead of the “HRV Index”.
  • Check if the version of Apple Watch is watchOS 10 or later, and if the OtterLife app on the Apple Watch has been successfully installed. The widget can only be added after successful installation.
  • When synchronizing custom themes, you need to keep the Apple Watch with the “OtterLife” app open and the screen always on. This requires the watch and phone to keep Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled and connected under the same Bluetooth network, and avoid turning on power-saving mode or other features that may affect network synchronization.
  • What is the body energy consumption dial?
  • Physical energy expenditure is an estimate of the energy you use to complete a task, and it is an indicator for measuring the energy expenditure intensity of exercise and other daily activities, with the unit being MET (kilocalories per kilogram per hour).
  • Since everyone’s metabolic rate varies, energy expenditure can be used as an indicator to measure the intensity of an activity itself.
  • For example, walking (about 3 km/h), as a 2 METs activity, requires twice the energy consumption of resting.
  • When your activity intensity increases, your metabolic rate will also increase, so you will start to lose weight.
  • The watch face will update every 20 minutes. The following is the correspondence between the watch face text and physical energy consumption:
  • No weight loss: Metabolic Equivalent ≤ 4 MET
  • Losing weight: 4 MET < metabolic equivalent ≤ 5 MET
  • Lightning Speed Weight Loss: Metabolic Equivalent > 5 MET
  • No data available: Unauthorized or no data for more than 24 hours
  • Why don’t Xiaomi Watch, Oppo Watch, and Huawei Watch (such as Fit 3) support custom watch faces?
  • Answer: Since the official has not yet opened the development permission for this feature to third parties, we are unable to develop it. If the brand owner grants authorization, we will connect as soon as possible.
  • ——Related to Mobile Desktop Widgets——
  • Does Android have desktop widgets? How to add widgets on Android
  • Please go to the Settings page – Desktop Widgets – Select the corresponding widget – Click Add to Home Screen. Or long press on the home screen, click the plus sign or Add Card. The specific addition method varies depending on the phone system. If you have any issues, please provide a screenshot.
  • How to add a desktop widget on iOS? How often does a desktop widget refresh? What if the desktop widget data doesn’t refresh?
  • Long press on a blank area of the home screen, tap the “+” button in the top-left corner, search for “OtterLife”, and select the widget you want to add
  • The widget will refresh every 15 minutes, but due to the refresh limitations of the iOS system, there may be a certain delay in the widget’s refresh. After clicking on the widget to enter the app, the data will refresh immediately.
  • The icons for non-ios26 users are very strange, with a glassy texture, which does not match the overall system icon style. I hope they can be changed back, or users can choose for themselves?
  • Apple has adjusted the icon format and will force icons below 26 to also be modified to have a glass texture, and we can no longer roll back.
  • ——Data-related issues——
  • How to delete weight?
  • Go to the Weight History module, and swipe left to delete. Please note that the first weight entry for each plan cannot be deleted. If you need to modify it, please create a new entry on the same date and then delete it.
  • Is the planned starting value of weight/initial weight inconsistent?
  • The starting value of the weight plan is the average of all weight records on the display day, so it may not match the value you entered.
  • Steps are inaccurate/no step data
  • After selecting your phone as the data source, we will calculate your health data such as sleep and activity based on data collected by your phone’s sensors, such as steps and screen usage time. Therefore, it will inevitably differ from the data of your smart bracelet/watch in Xiaomi/OPPO/VIVO Sports Health. Please check whether Otter is running in the background, and the OtterLife notification bar needs to remain permanently in the system notification bar; otherwise, it will affect step counting.
  • The Total Cost in kilocalories on the fitness calendar is incorrect
  • Answer: Please check if the data is consistent with the active calorie data in Apple Health’s three rings. If it is consistent, it indicates that the issue lies with Apple Health. The active calories in Apple Health’s three rings may be less than the sum of your daily exercise consumption. We are unable to modify Apple’s calorie algorithm. Please understand.
  • Standing reminder notification is inaccurate
  • Answer: This is because some push notifications on iPhones require the phone to be unlocked for data updates, so there will be a certain delay in notifications. Please understand.
  • Why does the App show “Overeating” when I haven’t eaten anything in the morning?
  • Answer: This may be due to your basal metabolic rate being set too low, or your goals being set too high. Please check and adjust your personal data settings.
  • Why does the App show exercise calories burned right after midnight or when no exercise has been recorded?
  • Answer: Exercise expenditure is not limited to exercise; it includes the calories generated by your daily activities such as walking. We will calculate a guaranteed exercise expenditure value based on your height, weight, and activity level, and will replace it with real data once you have actual exercise expenditure data.
  • Why do there appear dietary calories that I have never recorded?
  • Answer: This may be caused by an accidental touch on your watch, or it could be written to Apple Health by other apps. You can specifically click into the calorie details page to check. You can go to Apple Health – Dietary Energy – View All Data, click the arrow on the right side of the record to delete it.
  • Why are there so few data modules on the home page of my app?
  • Answer: The home page of the new version of the app only displays automatically changing body data, while record-type data has been moved to the tab2 Action page.
  • How to record data such as calories, diet, exercise, water intake, and weight?
  • Answer: Go to the tab2 activity page and click on the data module or the plus sign to complete the record.
  • Why does the menstrual cycle predicted by the App not match that of the Apple Health App?
  • Answer: The prediction algorithms of the two are different. This App makes predictions based on your recent menstrual cycle data, while Apple’s algorithm has not been made public.
  • Where has the AI pet conversation feature in the Android version gone?
  • Answer: This feature has been temporarily taken offline due to the need for qualification application and is currently being processed. It will be restored later.
  • Is it possible to manually modify the predicted ovulation date if it is inaccurate?
  • Answer: Currently, manual modification of the ovulation date is not supported.
  • What is the “Friends” feature in the app used for?
  • Answer: Currently, you can share emotions with friends, and more sharing features will be supported in the future.
  • What is the basis for the sleep and wake-up time data in the APP?
  • Answer: The data is sourced from the “Sleep Mode” of the Apple system, and the specific judgment is made by the Apple system.
  • How to turn on real-time HRV monitoring?
  • Answer: You can find and enable it in the settings in the upper right corner of the “Stress” module. However, please note that during continuous wearing of the watch, real-time stress will be updated every 6 minutes, but the watch widget will take at least 15 minutes to refresh.
  • Do Huawei users need to synchronize their phones first and then their watches when synchronizing data?
  • Answer: Yes, limited by the Huawei ecosystem, currently you need to first sync the watch data to the “Huawei Health” App, and then open OtterLife for syncing.
  • How to quickly record water intake on a watch?
  • Answer: You can use the drinking water widget on the watch to quickly record, and a single tap will add 100ml. More detailed settings can be completed on the mobile phone.
  • Why can’t mindfulness and weight data be synchronized from Huawei Health?
  • Answer: Because Huawei Health does not currently support synchronizing this data item.
  • How to record emotions/moods?
  • Answer: If you are a Huawei user, it will be automatically recorded on the watch that supports emotion detection, and you can also manually record it in the mood module of the otterlife Watch app or otterlife Mobile app on your smart device. If you are an iOS user, you can manually record it in the mood module of your Apple Watch or otterlife. In other cases, you can manually record it through the mood module of the otterlife Mobile app.
  • Why does the number of free photo recognition attempts show as 0 even though I’m already a member? / Why is the food library empty?
  • Answer: It may be caused by fluctuations in the current network environment. Please switch to Wi-Fi/data traffic to see if it can be resolved.
  • Can the data from the weight scale/body fat scale be directly synchronized?
  • Answer: If you are an iOS user, it supports reading weight data from weight scales/body fat scales and synchronizing it to Apple Health.
  • If you are an Android user, the synchronization permission for weight data is currently being applied for, and development can only proceed after Huawei’s permission is approved.
  • What is HRV?
  • HRV, also known as heart rate variability ❤️, records the tiny differences in your heart rate between each beat. HRV can reflect your body’s ability to cope with stress ⚡, fatigue 😴, or illness 🤒.
  • Is HRV scientific?
  • When the human body encounters stress, it mainly responds through the autonomic nervous system. Under stress, the sympathetic nervous system becomes more active, accelerating the heartbeat and reducing the heartbeat interval, thereby reducing HRV; in a relaxed or recovery state, the parasympathetic nervous system is more active, slowing the heartbeat and lengthening the heartbeat interval, thereby increasing HRV.
  • What kind of HRV is better?
  • Everyone’s HRV reading is unique, influenced by many factors such as age, gender, etc. Therefore, compared to a single high or low HRV reading, stable HRV data over a period of time can more accurately reflect an individual’s health status. So there’s no need to feel anxious about occasional low HRV!
  • Understand HRV more intuitively!
  • Stable HRV data can more accurately reflect an individual’s health status. Therefore, we will calculate the average HRV value of your last 30 days and then tell you the state your body is in: When HRV is much higher than the average: Good things are happening; When HRV is within the normal range: Full of vitality; When HRV is much lower than the average: Under great pressure
  • Why is the measured HRV data different from that in Apple Health?
  • Because Apple Health uses the SDNN algorithm, while we use the rMSSD algorithm. Simply put, SDNN evaluates long-term heart rate variability, while rMSSD focuses more on the assessment of short-term heart rate variability, making it more suitable for observing daily HRV changes
  • How often is the data updated? Can the update frequency of HRV be increased?
  • When you wear your Apple Watch normally, your HRV data will be automatically updated every 2-5 hours. Data updates and push notifications may be delayed due to Apple’s system issues, so please understand. You can also open the “Mindfulness” app on your watch, select the “Breathing” function and complete one session to update the latest data. You can switch the data mode to “Real-time Stress”, and the data will be updated every 6 minutes.
  • Why aren’t Apple Watch widgets updating in real time?
  • Due to Apple’s restrictions, the Apple Watch widget automatically refreshes at a minimum interval of 15 minutes, but 100% success cannot be guaranteed. After manually clicking on the widget to enter the OtterLife App, you can manually refresh the data.
  • Why has the real-time pressure data always been 50%?
  • Don’t worry, this is a normal phenomenon. The new Apple Watch, due to insufficient historical data, needs some time to learn and establish a data base line, which is used to judge your real-time stress. Just keep wearing the Apple Watch for 1-2 days.
  • What’s the difference between real-time stress and HRV?
  • Update Frequency
  • Real-time pressure: Under normal wearing conditions, the value is updated every 6 minutes
  • HRV: Under normal wearing conditions, the HRV value is updated once every 2-5 hours.
  • Calculation Principle
  • Real-time stress: Derived from real-time heart rate, heart rate variability, and recent heart rate data, it is more suitable for reflecting the immediate emotional state
  • HRV: Based on heart rate variability data, calculated through the RMSSD algorithm, it is more suitable for monitoring long-term stress
  • Your real-time stress range
  • The higher the stress percentage, the higher your current stress level
  • Good things happen: 1%-40%
  • Full of Vitality: 41%-60%
  • Under great pressure: 61%-100%
  • Does Huawei support HRV?
  • Answer: Currently, Huawei officially does not support exporting HRV data to third-party developers. Therefore, only the display of stress score values, which are also calculated based on HRV, is supported at present.
  • Why can’t the watch receive notifications for HRV (heart rate variability) updates?
  • Answer: We will only send notifications when your HRV status undergoes a cross-stage change (e.g., from “energetic” to “stressed”). If the HRV value changes but the status level remains the same, no reminder will be sent. Additionally, please check if the “Mirror Notifications from Phone” feature is enabled in the Watch app on your phone.
  • ——Sleep——
  • If both the phone and the watch are used to record sleep simultaneously, which data should be considered the standard?
  • Answer: In “Smart Mode”, watch data will be synchronized with priority. You can also manually set your desired data source in Sleep – Settings – Data Source.
  • Why Apple Watch sleep data is not recorded
  • Open sleep record
  • First, ensure that the Apple Watch has the sleep tracking function enabled, and wear the Watch while sleeping for at least 7 days, so that the Apple Watch can learn your sleep habits and generate more accurate sleep data. If you want more accurate sleep tracking, please set a sleep schedule and sleep goals. Additionally, if each sleep session is less than 4 hours, sleep data cannot be generated.
  • Set sleep timer
  • Open the “watch” App on your phone, select “Sleep” – “Manage Sleep Focus Mode in Settings” – Set “Sleep Timer”. If the sleep mode is not turned off after waking up, sleep will be recorded until the end time of the sleep mode.
  • Why can’t the phone record sleep anymore?
  • After the iOS 18 update, it is no longer possible to record sleep duration via the phone.
  • Does it support reading sleep records from other apps?
  • Enter the sleep details page, select Settings in the upper right corner, and choose the sleep source to switch the data source. Select Smart Selection, and data sources with sleep stages in the list will be preferentially displayed (Apple Watch first)
  • Is the sleep duration incorrect? Why isn’t the sleep data updating/syncing? Can’t the sleep data be synced? Are the days in the staying-up calendar incorrect?
  • If the sleep statistics breakpoint is set at 12:00, the sleep period from 12:00 to 14:00 will be classified as tomorrow’s sleep;
  • If the sleep statistics cutoff point is set at 13:00, then the sleep period from 12:00 to 13:00 will be classified as today, and the sleep period from 13:01 to 14:00 will be classified as tomorrow;
  • If the sleep statistics cut-off point is set at 14:00, then the sleep period from 12:00 to 14:00 will be classified as today’s sleep
  • How to Record Naps
  • After updating to watchOS 11, if you have the sleep function enabled, wearing an Apple Watch will automatically record your naps without any additional operations. [Naps less than 30 minutes] The watch is highly likely unable to detect them. [Naps longer than 30 minutes] The watch may record your naps, but the recorded data will not include sleep stages (such as deep sleep, light sleep). The longer you sleep, the higher the probability of being recorded. [Sleep of 2 hours or more] Only when sleep exceeds 2 hours is it possible to record sleep stage information.
  • What is the principle of sleep score? Why is it inconsistent with Apple Health?
  • OtterLife’s sleep score not only considers sleep duration and the completion of sleep goals but also evaluates whether the distribution of sleep stages (light sleep, deep sleep, REM) is excellent by combining your historical data.
  • Apple’s algorithm emphasizes “regularity” and “duration” but overlooks the distribution of sleep stages! Abnormal proportions of deep sleep and REM stages are the real culprits leading to cardiovascular problems, low mood, and even neurological diseases.

  • iOS: My refund request was rejected?
  • First, it should be noted that all refund requests for App Store applications are uniformly processed by Apple. Developers have no control over the refund process. The reasons are as follows: 1. Your payment is made directly to Apple, not to us. You can check your Alipay or WeChat bill, and the payee for this transaction is shown as “Apple” or “Apple Inc.”, not us. All transactions completed through the App Store are handled and collected uniformly by Apple. 2. Apple will settle the revenue with us two months after the user makes the payment, and the amount we receive is the total amount after deducting the service fee (30% platform service fee). That is to say, we receive the sum of all users, and there is no refund button for individual orders.
  • Additionally, accounts that frequently request refunds may be flagged by Apple’s risk management system. In such cases, we may not be able to provide a refund, as this is Apple’s policy. We understand your concerns.
  • We hope the above explanation can help you better understand the process. Only by initiating a refund through Apple’s official customer service can you ensure the security of the funds and have them returned to your payment account via the original payment method. This is also the only refund channel set up by Apple for users.
